Team H

On February 9th, 2012, our brother Jonathan “H” Valleau was hit by a car while riding his bike in Brooklyn, New York. The purpose of this blog is to chronicle his hospitalization and gain support the world over for his full recovery. He needs all of your love, prayers, and positive thoughts.

You may not know Jonathan, but he means the world to us. Thank you.

On his way home! Yay!

Jonathan update:
After watching the hospital system slowly churn out his release paperwork, suddenly, it was time to go! The nurse said someone would come in a half an hour with a wheelchair and 5 min later, there he was. Hospital time again; 25 minutes early after being 3 hours late. I am not complaining though. They were very thorough. Trauma, orthopedic, vascular, radiology, Infectious disease all had to give their blessing and a 15 page summary had to be written.  Then we jumped in the car and took off before they could change their mind. The trip home was smooth and we were home in good time. We did pause and reflect on that first week, when we weren’t sure if H would live, or have brain damage, or loose his leg, or be deaf, or all the other very real possibilities that didn’t happen. We are so thankful to God and to all of you that we get to have our beloved Jonathan and that he gets to become the man he was meant to be. Just because he is home doesn’t mean the job is done though. Please continue to pray for him and keep the positive thoughts and good vibes coming. He will still need them for a while.
XOXOXO

Jonathan Update

Time for an update on Jonathan Valleau,
It has been a confusing day at the hospital. H is awake, lucid and comfortable, but continues to run a fever in spite of being on 3 strong antibiotics. He was taken in this afternoon and some fluid was removed from his chest and a drain was installed to remove the rest. Hopefully this will bring his heart rate down so he can begin physical therapy. He seems to have recovered from the hoards of well-wishers yesterday for his birthday and is enjoying his new Kindle etc. Please hold him in your prayers and thoughts  so that we can have him back soon and hold him for real!.

XOXO
